This guy has a bit of a problem getting the flag to catch fire, but it eventually does. Kind of.

That is an interesting amount of fire coming off the top of this guy. Almost as if the fire and the guy are from different sources.

Looking around the site that this image came from, I found a podcast dealing with flag burning. The audio quality isn’t the best (his P’s are popping), but the author does agree that the US constitution should not be amended to ban flag burning. He thinks people who burn the flag are jackasses, but that people have the right to be a jackass. I’m not in favour of his “decriminalize the beating of flag burners” policy though.

It looks like North Carolina has a problem with desecrating the flag. It’s doubtful that they’d be too happy about someone burning it. First Amendment? What’s that?

Apparently it’s illegal to mutilate the flag in Florida. Hopefully this guy will fight the charge on 1st Amendment grounds.

Today is Canada Day, that special time of the year where we celebrate our rights and freedoms. What better way to celebrate those rights than to burn a Canadian flag?
